This document governs removal of prior authorization requirements for physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy (ST) for VNSNY CHOICE MLTC members and explains that necessary PT/OT/ST visits prescribed by a physician or other authorized clinician will be covered. It affects VNSNY CHOICE MLTC members and their providers in the applicable New York Medicaid program.
VNSNY CHOICE MLTC will remove prior authorization requirements for PT, OT, and ST services effective January 1, 2021.
Necessary PT, OT, and ST visits will be covered when requested by a physician or other authorized specialist.
