Covered when ALL of the following are met:

- Applies to all health benefit plans as defined in N.C.G.S. § 58-3-167, the State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees, optional plans under Part 2 of Article 3 of Chapter 135, and stand-alone prescription medication plans licensed by the Department of Insurance.
- The request is for extra prescription medication made within 29 days of the issuance date of this bulletin (February 18, 2025), unless the Commissioner issues an extension.
- This bulletin serves as a reminder of compliance requirements under N.C.G.S. § 58-3-228 for operations during a state of emergency or disaster.
