Authorize extra prescription medication refills for requests made within 29 days of the bulletin issuance (unless extended by the Commissioner) for beneficiaries covered by applicable health benefit plans during the state of emergency declared by Executive Order No. 26.
- Applies to all health benefit plans as defined in N.C.G.S. §58-3-167, the State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees, optional plans under Part 2 of Article 3 of Chapter 135, and stand-alone prescription medication plans issued by entities licensed by the Department of Insurance.
- Authorization window: requests made within 29 days of the bulletin issuance, unless extended by an order of the Commissioner.
