This public notice governs amendments to Maryland Medicaid reimbursement rates for targeted case management (Coordination of Community Services) affecting providers who deliver comprehensive assessment and coordination services to specified developmental disabilities populations in Maryland.
The rate for the Comprehensive Assessment will be $441.00 per assessment effective July 1, 2026.
The rate for Community Coordination, Waiting List Coordination, and Transition Coordination will be $27.76 per 15-minute unit effective July 1, 2026.
A geographic differential rate of $29.76 per 15-minute unit will apply for Coordination services in specified higher-cost counties effective July 1, 2026.
Coordination of Community Services agencies' rates are reduced by 2% as part of Maryland's Fiscal Year 2027 budget, representing an estimated $2,866,030 total fund decrease.

What Providers Need To Do
Rate changes effective 7/1/2026 — submit comments; CMS approval required
The Department is amending state plan reimbursement rates effective July 1, 2026; providers should note the new rates and may submit written comments to MDH. All Medicaid state plan services require approval by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Effective July 1, 2026: Comprehensive Assessment = $441.00 per assessment; Community Coordination/Waiting List/Transition Coordination = $27.76 per 15-minute unit; geographic differential for Coordination services = $29.76 per 15-minute unit in designated counties.
- Copies of the proposed rate change are available for public review; written comments accepted beginning June 1, 2026 via wfb.dda@maryland.gov or mailed to DDA Federal Programs Unit, 201 West Preston Street, 4th Floor, Baltimore MD 21201.
- All Medicaid state plan services must be approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
