- Person is required to report in-person to work, learn, or attend childcare at a physical place of employment in the District of Columbia (physical places of employment include, but are not limited to, in-person instruction and services in pre-school, K-12, adult learning programs, higher education, residential education settings; childcare settings; office settings; healthcare facilities; grocery stores; retail establishments; hospitality industry including hotels, restaurants, entertainment facilities; gyms; construction sites; and public transportation and ride share providers).

- COVID-19 testing is requested or offered for the purpose of identifying cases to prevent and control spread during the public health emergency.
- Testing is provided no more than once in every seven (7) day period for an eligible person without a prior determination of medical necessity by an attending provider.<= once per 7 days
An order for testing by a physician or other health care provider is not necessary for testing up to once per seven (7) day period for eligible persons during the public health emergency.

An order for testing by a physician or other health care provider is not required for persons who must report in-person to work or learn in the District of Columbia; such eligible persons may be tested without a provider order. During the public health emergency, these persons may be tested no more than once per seven (7) day period without a prior determination of medical necessity by an attending provider.
