Trek continuously ingests, validates, and normalizes Transparency in Coverage data alongside payer policies and other commercial payer data to create a structured payer intelligence foundation. OpenPayer uses this foundation to deliver personalized search results, dynamically generated policy pages, and tailored policy monitoring based on each user's payers, specialties, billing codes, and areas of interest. The same intelligence powers broader payer performance workflows, including reimbursement benchmarking, contract evaluation, payer negotiations, and financial decision-making.

    Background

Fenfluramine (FINTEPLA) is FDA‑approved for the treatment of seizures associated with Dravet syndrome. Because fenfluramine and other serotonergic drugs with 5‑HT2B receptor agonist activity have been associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension, cardiac monitoring via echocardiogram is required prior to starting treatment, during treatment, and after treatment to allow early detection of cardiac or pulmonary vascular changes. Prior authorization is required and coverage is provided when criteria are met, including prior trial/failure or contraindication to at least two recommended anticonvulsant agents.

    Required supporting documentation

Submit supporting documentation that verifies: the diagnosis of seizures associated with Dravet syndrome; that therapy is prescribed by or in consultation with a neurologist; that a baseline echocardiogram assessment was performed prior to treatment; and records showing trial/failure or contraindication to at least two recommended anticonvulsant agents.
