Reimbursement basis and required provider actions
Reimbursement follows ORR-established CHP encounter rate
Reimbursement for services in this fee schedule follows the CHP (Community Health Program) encounter rate established annually by the Office of Rate Review (ORR) and communicated to Tribal Health Organizations with participating CHAs and BHAs. Providers should bill using the encounter-based CHP rate for the applicable service dates within the State Fiscal Year 2027 fee schedule period (effective 7/1/2026–6/30/2027).
- Reimbursement basis: CHP encounter rate set by ORR each calendar year.
- ORR sends the CHP encounter rate to Tribal Health Organizations with participating Community Health Aides (CHA) and Behavioral Health Aides (BHA).
- Rates and coverage are subject to change; consult the ORR-issued CHP encounter rate for the applicable year when submitting claims.
