Computerized dynamic posturography (CDP), also referred to as balance board testing or equilibrium platform testing, is considered unproven and not medically necessary for evaluating any condition, including but not limited to balance disorders.

CDP testing is considered unproven and not medically necessary because the available peer-reviewed evidence is weak and does not demonstrate sufficient diagnostic utility or consistent benefit. There is a lack of well-designed trials comparing CDP to standard vestibular tests, and insufficient evidence that CDP testing produces consistent, patient-relevant improvements that would support medical necessity.
