Template Update and updated Clinical Evidence section to reflect current information; removed content/language pertaining to the state of Louisiana; archived previous policy version CS023.R.
Coverage Summary
This policy is effective April 1, 2026. Computerized dynamic posturography (CDP) testing is considered unproven and not medically necessary for evaluating any condition (including but not limited to balance disorders) due to insufficient evidence of efficacy, and therefore is not covered under this policy. This policy applies to UnitedHealthcare commercial plans with state exceptions; the policy does not apply to the states listed (see state-specific policies where noted).
