Definitions

ArthrofibrosisA complication of injury or trauma in which an excessive scar tissue response leads to painful restriction of joint motion, with scar tissue forming within the joint and surrounding soft tissue spaces and persisting despite rehabilitation exercises and stretches (International Pain Foundation).
