Billing Rule

Payment limited to device meeting minimum specifications

If more than one prosthetic device can meet the member's functional needs, benefits are available only for the prosthetic device that meets the minimum specifications for the member's needs. If the member purchases a prosthetic device that exceeds these minimum specifications, payment will be limited to the amount for the minimum device and the member is responsible for the difference.
