Reimbursement criteria when venous procedures are billed alongside specific procedures:
Separate payment not allowed when venous procedures are performed with any of the following:
- Colonoscopic procedures: separate payment is not allowed; venous procedures are considered components of or incidental to the actual service performed.
- Endoscopic procedures: separate payment is not allowed; venous procedures are considered a component or incidental to the actual service performed.
- Sigmoidoscopy procedures: separate payment is not allowed; venous procedures are considered components of or incidental to the actual service performed.
