Background

This document provides example items that may be eligible as part of housing support services. Coverage is conditional on individualized plan determination and member financial inability to pay. The list is illustrative and not exhaustive. Services must be identified as reasonable and necessary in the Member's individualized housing support plan and are available only when the Member is unable to meet such expenses and when they are reasonably necessary.

Examples of items listed include medically necessary adaptive aids such as Bedside Commode, Hoyer lift, Hospital bed, and Shower chair.

Additional household examples (illustrative) include kitchen items (e.g., Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove, cookware, utensils), bedroom items (e.g., Mattress, Bedding, Bedframe), bathroom items (e.g., Towels, Toiletries), and living room items (e.g., Couch, Lamps/lighting).
