Florida Blue Medicare updated its Part B Step Therapy program to add four updated categories and to identify preferred and non-preferred Part B medications effective September 15, 2025 for BlueMedicare Medicare Advantage plans. Step Therapy is required and the plan's definition of medical necessity must be met for certain non-preferred medications; prescribers are encouraged to consider preferred alternatives (prior authorization may apply).
