Reimbursement restrictions for echocardiography and cerebrovascular arterial (CVA) studies
This document governs reimbursement eligibility for specific echocardiography and CVA CPT codes by Culinary Health Fund, restricting payment to services performed by in-network (PPO) cardiologists or PPO diagnostic imaging centers. It affects providers who perform these studies for Culinary Health Fund members.
As of November 1, 2012, CPT codes 93303–93352 (echocardiography) and 93880–93893 (CVA studies) will only be reimbursed when performed by a PPO cardiologist or a PPO diagnostic imaging center.
