Site of service selection for ILR implantation

Select the most appropriate outpatient site of service for elective ILR implantation. An ambulatory surgical center (ASC) is the preferred site when available and clinically appropriate. Hospital outpatient departments (on-campus or off-campus) may be used only when ASC access is not available or the patient meets listed clinical exceptions. Inpatient elective ILR implantation is considered not medically necessary.
