Chikungunya - Covered tests: For individuals suspected of chikungunya, viral culture, NAAT of serum, OR IFA for IgM during acute and convalescent phases meets coverage criteria.
Colorado tick fever (CTF) - Covered tests: For suspected CTF, virus-specific IFA-stained blood smears OR IFA for CTF-specific antibodies meet coverage criteria.
Dengue (DENV) - Covered tests: For suspected dengue, NAAT, IgM MAC-ELISA, NS1 ELISA, and confirmatory PRNT meet coverage criteria.
IgG ELISA or hemagglutination testing for DENV does NOT meet coverage.
Ehrlichiosis/Anaplasmosis - Covered tests: For suspected ehrlichiosis and/or anaplasmosis, NAAT of whole blood, IFA assay for IgG antibodies, OR microscopy for morulae detection meet coverage criteria.
IFA for IgM or standard blood culture does NOT meet coverage.
Malaria - Covered tests: For suspected malaria, rapid immunochromatographic diagnostic tests OR smear microscopy to diagnose, speciate, identify life cycle stage, and/or quantify parasitemia meet coverage; microscopy may be repeated up to three times within three days if initial microscopy is negative in suspected cases.repeat microscopy: up to 3 times within 3 days
NAAT or IFA for Plasmodium antibodies does NOT meet coverage.

Tick-borne relapsing fever (TBRF) - Covered tests: For suspected TBRF, dark-field microscopy of peripheral blood smear, Wright- or Giemsa-stained blood smear, PCR testing, OR serologic assays to detect Borrelia-specific IgG antibodies meet coverage criteria.
IFA for IgM for Borrelia or culture testing does NOT meet coverage.
West Nile virus (WNV) - Covered tests: For suspected WNV, IFA for WNV-specific IgM in serum or CSF AND confirmatory PRNT meet coverage criteria.
NAAT for WNV or IFA for WNV-specific IgG in serum or CSF does NOT meet coverage.
Yellow fever virus (YFV) - Covered tests: For suspected YFV, NAAT OR serologic assays to detect virus-specific IgM and IgG antibodies, plus confirmatory PRNT meet coverage criteria.
Zika virus - Covered tests (pregnancy/infant contexts): Zika NAAT meets coverage for: (a) symptomatic pregnant individuals up to 12 weeks after symptom onset with relevant travel/sexual exposure; (b) infants born to individuals who tested positive for Zika during pregnancy; (c) infants born with signs of congenital Zika syndrome whose birthing parent traveled to risk areas during pregnancy. For pregnant individuals with fetal ultrasound findings consistent with congenital Zika, maternal serum/urine NAAT and maternal serum IgM testing plus confirmatory PRNT meet coverage.Up to 12 weeks for symptomatic pregnant individuals
