Defines BCBSRI's requirements for submitting medical drug claims (professional and facility) for Commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, specifying required HCPCS/CPT and NDC reporting and pricing rules.
Effective for dates of service on or after July 1, 2022, BCBSRI requires drugs for all claims to be filed with both a valid HCPCS/CPT code and appropriate National Drug code (NDC).

Claims without required elements
- Claims filed with a valid drug HCPCS/CPT code only (no NDC) will not be accepted for processing.
- Claims filed with a valid NDC without a HCPCS/CPT code will not be accepted for processing.
