Axillary reverse mapping (ARM) is a technique intended to identify arm-draining lymphatics and nodes during axillary procedures by subcutaneous administration of tracer agents such as blue dye, indocyanine green fluorescence, or radioisotope, with the goal of preserving those lymphatics to reduce the risk of postoperative lymphedema.
