Background

Background: Opzelura is FDA-approved for the topical short-term and non-continuous chronic treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in non-immunocompromised patients ≥ 2 years when disease is not adequately controlled with or when other topical prescription therapies are not advisable, and for topical treatment of nonsegmental vitiligo in patients ≥ 12 years. The policy notes that use in combination with therapeutic biologics, other JAK inhibitors, or potent immunosuppressants is not recommended.
